The Beverage Association of South Africa (BevSA) is proud to announce the appointment of its Executive Director and CEO, Mpho Thothela, as Vice President of the International Council of Beverages Associations (ICBA). The ICBA, headquartered in Washington DC, USA, serves as the global voice for the non-alcoholic beverage industry. This appointment recognises Thothela’s significant contributions to the South African beverage industry and his expertise in legal and corporate affairs.
As a seasoned professional with extensive experience in both the private and public sectors, Thothela brings a wealth of knowledge to the ICBA. He will continue to lead BevSA’s efforts to represent the interests of its members, advocate for responsible industry practices, and promote the economic and social benefits of the non-alcoholic beverage sector in South Africa, while also contributing to the ICBA’s global mission. His new role on the ICBA board will provide a strong voice for South Africa and the African continent within the global beverage community.

The ICBA also announced the appointment of Andrés Massieu as its new President, and Krista Scaldwell, President of the Canadian Beverage Association, as another Vice President.
